 Andaman and Nicobar Islands is an important union territory among the seven union territories of India.It is a group of islands at the juncture of Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea.This territory is famous for many things such as its beauty,tourist attractions and so on.It is almost 740 nautical miles from Chennai , Tamil Nadu ,India.This island has many historical importance.It served as the headquarters of British government in World War 2.It has an old cellular jail used in the medieval times and  it still has active volcanoes.Almost people from many states of India and outside India live here.

                      People from Kerala basically known as malayalis has an important role in this island.The interesting fact is that many places in this beautiful island is named after districts in Kerala.The names of such places are Malappuram,Mannarkad,Nilambur,Wandoor,Calicut and so on.Because it is named after places in Kerala obviously people living there will be malayalis.They follow the tradition and culture of Kerala.They carryout many kinds of rituals that are being followed in Kerala.People in Andaman also celebrate Onam which is most important festival in Kerala.The language used here is Malayalam.The people here lives in peace and harmony.
